Sports Day Monday 11th July 2022 13.30 - 15.30
Wed 15 Jun 2022Dear Parents/Carers,
The school is holding its Sports Day events on Monday 11th July, 1.30pm - 3.30pm.
In the event that the weather does not support this, we are setting Tuesday 12th July as a provisional back-up date.
We are welcoming parents to attend this event in the afternoon provided that there are no further changes to guidance and it is deemed safe to do so. We would welcome seeing you back on the school grounds cheering the children on.

Sennybridge Pumpkins
Fri 10 Jun 2022Diolch i Sennybridge Pumpkins (Steve) for coming to school today to plant the pumpkin seeds ready for October 2022.
He has kindly informed the children that they will each be given a token and will be able to pick a pumpkin for free when they are ready at the Sennybridge Pumpkin field.
This is a lovely community gesture.

Tue 18 May 2021Destination bilingual: the benefits of choosing a Welsh-medium education
Across Wales more and more parents are choosing a Welsh-medium education for their children so that they can become bilingual and fluent in Welsh and English. Parents don't need to be able to speak Welsh for their children to attend Welsh-medium education - children are immersed in the Welsh language at school and become fluent quickly.
Bilingualism can bring many benefits to your child:
- Learners who understand more than one language can think more creatively and with more flexibility and tend to do better in IQ tests
- Being bilingual has a positive effect on the brain by keeping it active later in life
- Being bilingual can reduce the risk of dementia
- In Wales, being able to speak Welsh fluently is a valuable extra skill which will give your child a head start when looking for work
- Being bilingual gives access to two different cultures and two worlds of experience
- Bilingual people find it easier to learn a third language and show more tolerance towards other cultures
- Across Wales bilingual children tend to achieve better results - including in English

A huge congratulations to Maggie and Bernie for kindly donating their lockdown locks to 'The Little Princess Trust'. With this extremely kind gesture they will not only have helped children with conditions such as Alopecia and Cancer to be able to receive real hair wigs, but they have also raised a magnificent £1000.00!!!! Well done to both girls!

Gary has worked wonders with our tree trunks on the school grounds. Diolch to all the local companies and businesses who have kindly donated and funded this project started by Mrs. Watts. This is a fantastic attribute to the school grounds!
